City Council Approves New Riverside Walking Path
The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday evening to approve plans for a new walking path along the eastern section of the Riverside Greenway. The project will add approximately two miles of paved trail connecting several existing recreational areas and public parks. Construction is expected to begin later this summer.
Officials say the project is intended to improve accessibility and encourage outdoor activity among residents. Additional public meetings regarding landscaping and maintenance schedules will be held next month.
Library Renovation Project Nears Completion
Renovations at the East Borough Public Library are expected to conclude
within the next several weeks following nearly fourteen months of
construction.
The project included upgrades to reading areas, expanded computer facilities, and improvements to accessibility throughout the building. Library staff report that archived newspaper collections have also been digitized as part of the renovation effort. A public reopening event is scheduled for early next month.
Weather Service Reports Stable Conditions Across Region
